We are very grateful for the support from McLaughlin & Harvey. Danielle du Plooy, Founder and Manager of Uppertunity The storage units allowed us to free up internal space, and create additional room for more weekly activities for our community. The benches gave us much needed seating in our back garden, which we use for outdoor art activities during warmer weather. The benches also bring the wider building together.

Uppertunity is a Dundee-based charity dedicated to empowering individuals to lead fuller, more meaningful lives. They work with people aged 16 and over with additional support needs, learning disabilities, autism, and mental health barriers. There mission is to create safe, supportive, and creative spaces that foster growth, equality, and togetherness. We want people to explore their potential, build confidence, and develop life skills that promote independence and connection.Mclaughlin and Harvey delivered this Community Wish as part of their Green Travel Hub contract. By supporting Uppertunity with shelving units and picnic benches, we were able to convert a planned social value commitment into tangible, visible benefit that directly enhances a community organisation’s day-to-day environment.
