Supporting the participation and involvement of volunteers, as well as recognising and celebrating the contribution that they make, is a core function of DVVA’s Communities Team role. As part of this year's Volunteer Week event programme (1 to 7 June), we are aiming to host a Volunteer Celebration and Recruitment Event (venue to be confirmed). This event will give us the opportunity to thank existing volunteers for their commitment, provide a platform for public recognition to the individuals and the organisations they volunteer with, while also welcoming and inspiring new volunteers from the local community, who will have the opportunity to speak to organisations and groups that are looking for volunteers. The event will most likely take place late afternoon/ evening and we wish to offer a light buffet to all involved - guests, volunteers, workers, stall holders, and members of the public.
