Our Community Wish is for practical help to clear and prepare the outdoor site at Fairfield Together on Happyhillock Road, Dundee. We are seeking support from local businesses, employers or contractors who may be able to provide staff time, equipment, machinery, skips or other practical assistance to help us clear and tidy the site ready for its next stage of development. Fairfield Together is being developed by Fairfield Community Sports Hub SCIO as a new community facility for the local area. The development will create additional space for activities, services and support that respond directly to needs identified by local residents through our community consultation. Clearing the external area is an important part of getting the site ready and will help us make the best possible use of the available outdoor space. Support through Dundee City Council's Community Wishes programme would reduce the cost of this work, allowing more of our charitable resources to be invested directly into the facilities and services that will benefit the community. We would be very happy to work with an employer or contractor to agree what element of the clearance they could assist with. Even partial support — such as a volunteer team for a day, provision of a skip, machinery and operator time, waste removal or materials — would make a significant difference.
